Look at the bottom of the spark plug - where the center electrode comes down -and where the ground arches over the top - that is the area that whould be light chocolate to fawny brown.
After a longer run the entire end of the plug that is exposed to the fires that stoke our scoots will be the same color.
As stated above - silvery or white - indicates a lean condition with the fires burning to hot
Black and sooty indicates a rich condition with the flames burning to cold and not fully using the power contained in the fuel.
So , Look to the center insulator tip area and the sweet spot between to hot and to cool.
On longer rides you can also see this same fawny brown color at the end of the exhaust pipe.
Keep the rubber side down
